In the Anchor Facts of American History series of mini-lessons for students in grades 3-7, Mr. Powell introduces the ten most important facts of American history.

Why are they the most important? Because these ten facts have the most power to help us understand the world we live in today.

Mini lessons will be released one at a time in October through December of 2024. All ten mini lesson videos will be available for free on our Youtube channel. Registering on this page will give you access to handouts that you can use to extend the lesson and help your student think about and remember each anchor fact.

Each lesson has a printable worksheet that can help your student stay engaged in the lesson and reflect on what they are learning. Worksheets feature a few short-answer questions or activities along with an idea for further study. Each sheet also has a “stamp” that your child can cut out and glue on to the appropriate space on the timeline to help them remember the anchor fact from the lesson.
