Upcoming Free Live History Classes

Free live classes will be offered periodically throughout the year, usually at least once or twice a month.

See below for a list of topics and times, and click on the link to register your student. Once you’ve registered, you’ll be on the list to receive an email with access information a day or so before the class begins.

Each class offers a bite-sized introduction to a popular topic, tailored for elementary students (approximately grades 3-7, but younger and older students are welcome to join).

We know it can be hard to find history resources that are engaging, factual, and age-appropriate. These one-hour classes are a great way to easily add more history to your homeschool schedule.

Try out Knowable World’s “present-centric” approach to history education with the Anchor Facts of American History series of mini lessons and printables!

NEW for Fall of 2024, these 12 mini lessons for students in grades 3-7 introduce the ten most important facts of American history.

This is the easiest way to add high quality history learning to your homeschool schedule this year!

Introduction to Ancient Greece and Rome

Why is the world the way it is?  Neither America, nor Europe, nor much of the rest of the world would be the way it is without relying on the amazing cultures of ancient Greece and Rome.  This class will introduce students to these ancient cultures that still matter so much today.

Meet the Teacher

Scott Powell is a historian and teacher who has been teaching homeschooled students online for nearly 20 years (as “History at Our House”). He is the author of three books including “The 4-Hour Historian”, “The History of Now”, and the upcoming “The History of Tomorrow”. His present-centric approach was developed from the conviction that history is an essential subject that is vital for anyone who wants to live a fully engaged life and make sense of the world they live in.
